Guest's with mobility, sight, hearing or other needs, please note that all of our bedrooms are on the first floor, no lift is available, but we do offer assistance with carrying luggage to rooms if required.
Old Bewick Farmhouse is a Grade 2 listed building and we are limited to the number of modifications we can make to the property with regard to catering for guests with physical disabilities.

Access Details:
On Arrival - Entrance to the property is through a wooden farmhouse gate and an approximate 100 meter drive along a gravel covered driveway to the drop off point and private gravel covered parking area which has capacity for approximately six cars. The car park is lit by two ornamental lampposts in the evening. The main entrance is approximately twenty meters from the parking area. There are no steps in the car park itself.
Building Entrance - There are seven steps up to the main entrance each five and a half inches in depth, there is a flat waiting area then one, five and a half inch step into the house over a four inch metal thresh then on to a level hall area with polished wood floors and a carpet runner.
Access to Public Areas - Level access through entrance hall with two inch step up over a wooden thresh into the guest dining room and a one inch step down over a wooden thresh from the entrance hall to the guest lounge.
Breakfast Dining Room - We cater for vegetarian and vegan diets on request, please mention any special dietary requirements when booking.
Access to Guest Accommodation/Bedrooms - All of the bedrooms are on the first floor, there is no lift. There are thirteen stairs from the entrance hall up to a half landing , there are a further eight stairs to the main first floor landing. Each step is eight inches in height.
Tweed Family Suite - The suite is made up of four adjoining rooms, upon entrance the first room is a lounge area, there are then three steps down to the double bedroom, each step is five inches in depth. From the double room there is level entrance to a twin room and then further level entrance to the suite's bathroom.
Luggage - Help is available to carry luggage to rooms on request.
Bathrooms - The Breamish double room has a private bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The Tweed family suite has a bath with shower over. Anti slip mats are provided.
General Questions - Proprietor on the premises 24 hours. During the night in case of emergency, information for contacting proprietor on the premises is available in the guest folder.
In case of fire - full audible fire alarm system is installed with emergency lighting.
